Cafe La Vie, Chermside, Brisbane

December 31, 2011

Cafe La Vie, a restaurant located outside of Westfield Chermside in the old Chermside area .. the entrance where the food court leading towards the cinemas are .. Owned by the same owner as Cafe di Luna in Sunnybank from what I have heard ... They have lunch specials everyday and steak nights ..

Their "Eggs Benedict with Salmon" is one of the dishes tried during my visit here although I have been here many times long time ago, I never had the chance to try their Egg Benedict .. The poached egg was done well however I wasn't that satisfied with their hollandaise sauce.. They plated it simply with a half of a muffin topped with raw sliced salmon, poached egg and hollandaise sauce..
This was their "Caesar Salad with Chicken" ... It wasn't as good as I thought it would be.. the chicken could have been cooked better and served in a better way whilst the salad itself, although it consisted the usual lettuce, poached egg, cheese and caesar sauce, there was something that was still lacking .. there wasn't enough sauce as well in the salad ..
This was pasta with sliced salmon .. And this was probably the only dish out of the three dishes that was alright ... Although it still lacked something, the amount of salmon they served along with the pasta was decent .. The taste wasn't as wow or different ... It was just simply okay ..
